Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver to the ceremony and reception site?

Yes. Laura's Event Floral will deliver and set both the ceremony and reception location. Delivery and set-up fees usually range between 10%-20% of the flower cost, but each situation is different therefore will be addressed individually on your estimate.

When should I book my florist?

Once you have chosen a wedding date, you should consider floral options. Laura's Event Floral books weddings as much as 18 months before the date, and since we limit the number of weddings we service per weekend, you will want to book your florist as soon as possible. Most brides book Laura's Event Floral services 9 to 12 months before their wedding date.

How much should I budget for my wedding flowers?

That depends on how important your ceremony and reception flowers are to you, especially compared to the other elements in your ceremony, ie: location, music, caterer, photographer. Our brides spend an average of $2000 per package, but floral budgets can range from $500 to $5000.

Where do consultations take place?

Laura's Event Floral is in the process of building a consultation area in Richmond, IN. Until completion, we are willing to meet anywhere that works for your routine. Laura will recommend several local locations to meet.

When can I schedule my consultation?

Laura's Event Floral will accommodate your schedule as much as possible, with evening and weekend appointments available. However, because weekends are our busiest time, mid-week appointments are usually best.

Who should I bring to my consultation?

Laura's Event Floral always welcomes moms, sisters, bridesmaids, or fiancée to attend your consultation. However, keep in mind that the more people you bring, the more opinions you will be given, and the more confusing it can get!

How long will my consultation last?

A typical initial consultation takes about an hour and a half.

Should I bring anything to my consultation?

Yes. Please bring a photo of your bridal and bridesmaids gowns, along with a swatch of the bridesmaids’ dresses if it is a difficult color to match. A list of corsage and boutonniere recipients can also be helpful.  Most importantly, don’t forget to bring pictures of your favorite floral arrangements, Pinterest boards, pictures of the location, and anything else you might think is important in conveying your vision.

Do you design in silk flowers?

Laura's Event Floral considers fresh flowers to be preferred to even the highest quality silk flowers.  There is nothing like the smell, feel, and beauty of fresh flowers!  Because of this, we do not design silk arrangements.
